Shaun, please explain your idea of Western themes.

What is a western theme?

Some confusion arose at the New Orleans Wizcon, about what I mean concerning 'Western Themes." Birth of Legends is not the Wild West, with cowboys vs indians. The Western theme I promote is the hero exploring an unknown land, surviving on his/her wits, skills, and resources. Think more frontier than Tombstone, this is my western theme. I think this fits well to the Proto-Steampunk technology. A frontier expansion and exploration allows the characters to discover the world as the reader.
